GROUP OF AMBITIOUS LEADERS (G.O.A.L)
G.O.A.L's mentoring program takes place after school at one of our partnering sites. We combine group mentoring, academic support, and life skills to help youth become Ambitious Leaders.
Adult mentors work with youth in groups (grades 6th-8th) after submitting an application, interviewing, completing background/reference checks and training.
Mentors are trained on G.O.A.L’s mission and its curriculum that supports our overall objectives in financial literacy, African American History, entrepreneurship, and spiritual and mental support.
Youth gain a sense of identity, fostering empathy and understanding of societal issues through African American History.
Youth need stable, caring relationships with adults to thrive. Mentors provide this support.
Financial education empowers youth with the tools they need to break generational poverty.
Entrepreneurship can help youth develop skills and knowledge that can benefit them in the future, and prepare them for the real world.
Spirituality and emotional support can help youth experience peace, connectedness, and wonder, which can lead to improved happiness and overall well-being.
Know youth in grades 6th-8th that would be a good fit for mentoring? Download the application or contact us for more information.
